Issue/Introduction

SHOWMAP is an online task code in IDMS whose purpose is to display the layout of a map to the terminal user.

Over the years, IDMS users have used SHOWMAP simply as a means to ensure that a load module is loaded.
Even if the load module is not a map, it will still get loaded, but a DC081009 message will be issued.
This message, by default, is displayed not only on the user's terminal but also on the console which means it goes to the CV joblog.

Environment

Release : All supported releases.
Component : CA IDMS

Resolution

In order to prevent the DC081009 message from going to the CV joblog, redefine it without the DESTINATION IS OPERATOR clause.

Note, this cannot be done with MODIFY MESSAGE syntax.
The only way to achieve this is to DISPLAY MESSAGE DC081009 AS SYNTAX, and then edit the resulting output such that the message will then be DELETEd and re-ADDed without the DESTINATION IS OPERATOR clause.
