File Event goes to Sleeping status after being Quit

Issue/Introduction

The File Event keeps going back to Sleeping status after a few minutes after it has been Quit.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Create an EVNT object type File Event
   Set it to Watch a file on the C:\ Drive for stable size
2. Execute EVNT
3. Quit the EVNT

Expected behavior:
Event will quit

Actual behavior:
EVNT will go into status ENDED_OK - Ended normally for about 1 min and then will go back into Sleeping status.

 

Environment

Release : 12.x

Component : AUTOMATION ENGINE

Cause

Defect where Canceled File Event continued to send in error messages like " U02000123 Error in function isPathDirectory_d(): the system cannot find the file specified ..." until it was deactivated.

Resolution

-The short-term workaround is to Terminate and Deactivate the event.

 

This is confirmed as a bug and will be fixed in the future release.
