Issue/Introduction

In previous versions of UIM (UMP/USM) we had our client accessing the alarm console from any browser with customized commands such as:

http://<ump-server>/usm/jsp/standalone.jsp?user=aaa&password=bbb&view=alarm&viewOptions={'minimal':1,'columns':['origin','hostname','time_origin','time_last','count','message'],'subView':'table','filters':[{'field':'severity','value':'5|4|3','operator':'matches'}]}

In UIM 20.3 this is not working. How can we do this in 20.3?

Some errors include: HTTP Status 400 - Bad Request

Invalid character found in the request target...

Type Exception Report

Example error:

Cause

- UIM 20.3x

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - OPERATOR CONSOLE

Resolution

Linking to a List View or Performance Report was a Liferay function and has nothing to do with the new Operator Console (OC) webapps/React-based interface. This is currently not supported.

This is not possible in UIM 20.3. However, in the OC, customers can configure their alarm columns and whatever columns and sorting settings are configured are kept at the next log in.

The current version of OC does not support standalone urls with configuration flags as it was in USM. As of the next release of Operator Console, v20.4, it will support linking to:

  • Alarm console
  • Dashboards
  • Performance reports (since PRD is being brought back into OC)
Linking to other views such as metric views is being considered for a future release post 20.4 release.

ETA for UIM/OC version 20.4 is currently Q4 CY21.
