DFHMCT in SYSVIEW 16.0 and CICS/TS 5.5

Issue/Introduction

Using DFHMCT "INDEX SAMPLE CICS EVENT MONITORING POINTS TO REPLACE OMEGBSC SEGMENT" in CICS loadlib that is used by Omegamon. Omegamon is decommissioned since many years and Sysview 16.0 is installed.

Wanting to check if something similar to DFHMCT is required for CICS/TS 5.5  that will be used by Sysview. 

Environment

SYSVIEW 15.0 & 16.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

 

Resolution

The assembly of DFHMCT was requested / required by Omegamon to generate Omegamon SMF records.

DFHMCT is NOT required for SYSVIEW 16.0 and CICS/TS 5.5.

SYSVIEW does not have a requirement for the assembly and the SMF records are generated based upon the settings in SYSVIEW.
