After the maintenance contract was renewed, the LMP key for PROD (Z0) wasn't provided for the Datacom/DB VSE. Why? Isn't the LMP key (Z0) needed for the Datacom/DB VSE edition?
PROD(Z0) CA DATACOM/DB VSE-ESA OPTION
The LMP key (Z0) was provided in the previous LMP providing. (However, it isn't provided at present.)
The following LMP keys were provided newly for the Datacom/DB VSE after the renewal of the contract.
PROD(9X) CA DATACOM for z/VSE Plus
PROD(BH) CA DATACOM for z/VSE Plus
PROD(DR) CA DATACOM for z/VSE Plus
PROD(UP) CA DATACOM for z/VSE Plus
PROD(VF) CA DATACOM for z/VSE Plus
However, the above LMP keys were not provided in the existing (previous) LMP keys. Why? Are the above LMP keys required for the client's Datacom/VSE?
Release : 12.0
Component : DATACOM/DB
The Datacom VSE ESA options is part of Datacom/DB since version 9.0 already and so no separate option anymore and hence no LMP key. So, no separate LMP key is needed anymore for the VSE ESA option in Datacom. It is part of the DB code now and so no Z0 key is needed.
This is mentioned in QO01209.
Title: * CA-DATACOM VSE/ESA OPTION NOW BUNDLED AS PART OF DB
We have done a Datacom portfolio simplification. With Datacom for z/VSE PLUS you are allowed to install and use the products that you mentioned. That's why those LMP keys were given . If the customer has no intent to install/use those products then he is not required to activate those LMP keys in his system.
The Datacom Portfolio simplification is documented here:
