Migrating an agent from one Detection server to another (Enforce servers are different) without agent reinstallation

Issue/Introduction

Short preface - you have a trial instance of Symantec DLP 15.x server (single-tier installation) and a new licensed instance of Symantec DLP 15.x server (three-tier installation).
Both Detection servers are in Endpoint Prevent format.
In the trial instance, there are about 50 agents with Windows OS.

Question - is there any way to migrate these agents from the trial instance to the licensed without reinstallation of agents on clients?

Environment

Release: 15.x, 16.x

Resolution

The answer is NO.

The agents need to be re-installed.
Anytime the server changes a reinstall is required. 
If any of the certificates change, a reinstall is required
