CA 1 Tape Management - EARL report - how to change the date format when creating a report

Issue/Introduction

CA 1 provides multiple reports in CA EARL format.

When reporting on dates in the report produced there are multiple date formats available.

How can the default date format be changed?

Resolution

The default date format is provided is defined in the DATE_FMT field in  CTAPECPB(CTEARLCN), It is 10 characters in length. 

To change from the default when producing an EARL report, the DATE_FMT field needs to be temporarily updated using the SET command before calling CTSEDATE.
 
For example,           
SET DATE_FMT = 'YYYY/MM/DD'
or 
SET DATE_FMT = 'DD MMMYYYY'
