Issue/Introduction

We would like to know what Privileges are assigned to the out of the box Roles in Spectrum OneClick. How can we find out this information?

How to find out what Privileges are associated with the out of the box Roles in Spectrum OneClick

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Resolution

Review the privileges assigned to the available Roles present by default using the following steps.

  1. Log in to the OneClick java client or WebApp as an admin user
  2. Click on the Users tab
  3. Select a test user to modify or create a new test user for editing.
    • If creating a new user, select all three Licenses presented when creating the user. Administrator, Operator and Service Manager.
  4. Select the user to be edited.
  5. Select the Access tab in the Contents pane
  6. Select the Roles tab in the Component Detail pane
    1. Click on the Add/Remove button
    2. In the Assigned Roles window place only the Role to be reviewed in the "Exists in/Created in" area.
    3. Move all other Roles to the "Does not exist in/Delete from" area.
    4. Click the OK button.
  7. Select the Privileges tab. We'll now see only the privileges assigned to the lone Role set for the test users use.
    • Expand the folders as needed to see the specific Privileges.

Repeat as needed to review other default Role privileges.
