Issue/Introduction

While doing a routine check of our DevTest environment I found that all of our instances were down. I tried to start the services however IAM will not start and therefore the rest of the services will not start either. Please advise.

 

Cause

Wrong user was being used to start the instances.

Environment

Release : 10.5

Component : CA Service Virtualization

Resolution

Forgot to switch the user. He could not delete files and therefore knew he had the wrong user to start IAM.  Once he switched to the Services User/ID, he could start everything up.
