Issue/Introduction

We have received a request to start sending SNMP alerts to a new server. I have updated our various OPS/MVS Rules and EXECs that use the OPSCAWTO function, and was wondering if there was anything else I need to do. I reviewed our ENFSNMPM task that is running, and not able to see where the ENFSNMPM configuration file is defined, and the contents. Attempts to get to available documentation on your web site falls short, and so I figured I'd request help through OPS/MVS and the use of OPSCAWTO.

Is there anything else I need to do on z/OS to access a new SNMP alert server somewhere else in our network (more than likely a Linux server). Thank you.

Environment

Release : 13.5

Component : OPS/MVS

Resolution

For OPS/MVS, the destination ID in the OPSCAWTO statements of your REXX execs is the only change we require.   If problems are encountered after making these changes it is recommended that DEBUG be turned on in both OPS and ESFSNMPM to see what isn't working.
