Issue/Introduction

After creating a custom connector the password field is writing in clear text to an unencrypted field.

Example:

Environment

Release : 14.X

Component : CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE)

Resolution

Open Connector Xpress > Tools > Preferences >Check the checkbox for Show Extended Metadata.

Navigate to your endpoint on the right > Right-click > Create Project > Drill down to User Account > Attributes > Password > Scroll down to "Encrypt Algorithm" and set a value. > Make sure "Sensitive" is checked > Right-Click on endpoint > Deploy metadata > Restart the IMPS / JCS
