Issue/Introduction

Description:

Due to a string length mismatch between Data Manager and Capacity Manager, operating system names in Data Manager that are greater than 45 characters in length causes an error in Capacity Manager version 5.1.x and 5.2 when you update the Data Manager cache.

This problem produces the following error in Capacity Manager:

Error Getting Data from Data Manager. Failed to enable constraints. One or more rows contain values violating non-null, unique, or foreign-key constraints.

Solution:

Install CA Capacity Manager 5.2 Field Fix 1, which can be applied to Capacity Manager versions 5.1.x and 5.2. This field fix works around the problem by redefining a view in the database.

Contact CA Support to obtain the Field Fix.
