Issue/Introduction

Is it possible to exclude certain users from password expiration ?

is there a way to exclude certain users from password expiration ?  (ex: ResourceID=xoguser, [email protected] )

we have certain gel scripts with embedded login credentials, but the utilized user account is getting password expired periodically, which then requires a manual password reset for the affected user account and then manual update of the new password in all the affected gel scripts

Resolution

There is a system wide setting for password expiration rule which can be seen under Administration->System Options for Number Of Days Until Password Expires and so this is system change and can't be applied or not applied to specific users.

Recommendation would be not hardcoding passwords in the GEL scripts but rather create a custom object and store password there and have your scripts read it from that one place so that way you only need to change in one place.
