Output Management Web Viewer

Issue/Introduction

When users try to filter and open their reports when browsing the repositories in CA View Web Viewer 14.0, they get a message they don't have authority to access the report.

CAHVS0313E CA View report data open failed (CAHVS1115E User not authorized to access Report "ABCTPRF-SOWB" )

There are no RACF messages in the STC mentioning the specific individual user ids

Access to the reports is validated based on the authority the Tomcat started task has on the RACF resources, when it should actually validate the individual users access

12.02.06 STC23372  ICH408I USER(STCWEB  ) GROUP(STC#D   ) NAME(MTC STARTED TASK    )  706
    706               SARP.REPT.ABCTPFR-SOVP CL(CHA1VIEW)

    706               FROM SARP.REPT.ABC* (G)

Users do have access and can list and open the reports with mainframe CA View.

Environment

Release : 14.0

Component : CA Output Management Web Viewer

Cause

These messages are RACF violations that indicate the acid of the Tomcat server does not have access to the report.

Resolution

For Web Viewer 14 with RACF both the user and the Tomcat STC acid require access to the resource.
