Issue/Introduction

Can you tell me where registered_name picks up the server name

We are trying to have all our servers have   servername.company.com

but one server just shows servername

I have tried to rename it .. but still goes back to servername only ..

Resolution

Their was a another entry at the bottom of /etc/hosts with just the servername. Customer was looking at the top of the file where there was a FQDN entry.
