ARD TFS integration doesn't show all projects

Issue/Introduction

 

When connected to the Microsoft Team Foundation Server, via the ARD/TFS integration, we noticed that all of our projects are not displayed.

ARD appears to have an upper limit, and only displays the first 100 projects.

Resolution

Resolved in AgileDesigner-3.1.1.3 patch. if you are experiencing similar issues when connecting to TFS, open a support case and ask Broadcom Support for a copy of the AgileDesigner-3.1.1.3 patch.

The patch provides a setting to define the maximum number of projects interrogated from the server.

Listing all the projects retrieved, within the limit defined:

 

In this example, we requested a maximum of 300 projects, however only found 111 projects.

 

Caveat: after changing the limit, a logout/re-login through the TFS connector will be necessary to update the list. The TFS configuration file is loaded upon login.

Note: if you are using ARD Hub as your flow storage repository, you must be running the ARD Hub 3.1.1 release, before connecting the patched ARD Studio to the Hub
