Creating an externally authenticated user without needing to enter a password in DX Netops Portal, also cannot change external user to Netops Portal authenticated user.

Creating users via the UI that are to be authenticated via LDAP in DX Netops Portal (CAPC)

Is there a way to do this without the need to set a password for the user?

Additionally, I cannot change an external user to Netops Portal authentication.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is currently targeted for CA Performance Management 3.7.18/DX Netops 20.2.6 Performance Management 

Note that this is subject to change and there are no release dates that can be provided at this time.

Workaround for creating external user in the UI:

Currently, the only way to not require a password when creating the external user in the UI is to start by cloning an existing external user, and then customizing the user as needed.
