About the RPM package for CCS Linux agent and Security Content Update

(NOTE: The documentation above is still valid in CCS 12.6.x, even though it references CCS 12.5.1)

Where to download the Linux agent RPM:

1) Login to your support.broadcom.com account

2) On the left column, select 'My Downloads' and then search for 'Control Compliance Suite' and then click on Control Compliance suite product that is listed (the product name may vary as it is associated with your current license).

3) Click on  'Control Compliance Suite' (or whatever CCS product you have available) to branch out the various CCS versions available.   Click on the CCS Core version of your Application Server in your environment (example v12.6.1).

4) Select the CCS Agents zip file.  In this example for getting the 12.6.1 RPM agent install, it is the 'Symantec_Control_Compliance_Suite_12_6_1_Agents_EN.zip'.

NOTE: If you get an error 'Bad Gateway' when trying to download the zip file, just try again and the download will work correctly.

5) Extract the CCS agent zip file and the CCS agent RPM will be in the RPMS folder in the various different Linux agent options (i.e PPC agent, 64bit agent, etc).  In this example of the 64bit 12.6.1 Linux agent RPM in 'Symantec_Control_Compliance_Suite_12_6_1_Agents_EN' package would be  C:\Symantec_Control_Compliance_Suite_12_6_1_Agents_EN\CCS_Agent\unix\linux\x64\RPMS folder.

NOTE: If you get an error about the ccsrpm.conf file is missing or needs to be configured, a copy is attached to this KB.  The ccsrpm.conf can be configured to the specific needs of your environment and is self-documented within the conf file itself.
# This file is normally stored in /tmp/ccsrpm.conf. If you want it elsewhere, export a variable called CONFIGFILE with the new location/name before running the rpm -i or -U command

Downloading the SCU content via RPM on Linux agents (that also were installed by RPM agent installer)

NOTE: You can only use the SCU RPM package on supported Linux agents where the agent was also installed using RPM.

1) Login to your support.broadcom.com account

2) On the left column, select 'My Downloads' and then search for 'Control Compliance Suite' and then click on the Control Compliance Suite product that is listed (the product name may vary as it is associated with your current license).

3) Click on  'Control Compliance Suite' (or whatever CCS product you have listed) to branch out the various CCS versions available.   Click on the 'Content_Release' link.

4) Download the SCU that is what is currently applied to your CCS environment.  The Content RPM package is included in the SCU zip file (example below).
