Working on a new implementation of MTC-A and as part of the deployment I need to set up a Tomcat instance.
In the process of tailoring the supplied job ourdeployHLQ.CAW0JCL(TOMWAR) but struggling to locate the WAR files. The supplied TOMWAR job uses a member called TOMSEDIT that contains various symbols used by the TOMWAR job. One of these symbols is called “WARFNAME” and it appears that this should be set to the name of the WAR file. I have checked the filesystem where the WAR file(s) should be located but have been unable to find any files with a .WAR extension so I'm not sure whether I'm looking in the wrong location, missing something or misunderstood the documentation.
There is also an additional symbol called “WARMEMBR” which can be used to specify the WAR file source as a member of a PDS rather than as filesystem file, however there also appears to be no member that matches the default name, “WARFILE1”, in any of the Common Services libraries.
Release : 15.0
Component : CCS390 - CA COMMON SERVICES FOR Z/OS
Common Services does not supply the war files needed by the CA Products that the Tomcat instances are being setup for. The War files are provided by the specific product that uses Tomcat as a web server.
For example, for CA OPS/MVS MTC-A the OPS/MVS DDDEF CCLXHFS should reference the path that has the war files:
/plexc1/u/users/CASoftware/opsmvs135/CCLXHFS/
