Issue/Introduction

Database Management for Db2 for z/OS Xmanager STC was started and the log shows GEN0915 Health Checker request failed, RC= 40, RSN= 0 message.

RC=40 on the Health Checker initialization request indicates that the Health Checker common service is not installed. If you are using the IBM Health Checker service
and are interested in the integration with Broadcom products (including the DB2 tools), then you will also need to install the Health Checker common services,
FMID(CEF5C00) delivered with CCS (CA Common Services).

The message, GEN0915, is informational, and the absence of the Common Services Health Checker component does not affect the normal operation of our Db2 tools.
You may also see the message when Health Checker common services has been installed if CAW0LOAD is missing in APFLIST and LINKLIST.

Resolution

Verify the Common Services CAWOLOAD in allocated to the APFLIST and LINKLIST.

With the above change, you will see the following messages when Xmanager starts:
GEN0912 CA-DB2 Tools Health Checker interface initialization complete
