PAM A2A or CSPM client 4.12 not working with Windows 10

Issue/Introduction

PAM client 4.12 not working with Windows 10, while installing we get an error "Failed to register cspmclientatl.dll" (see the attachment for reference). However the installation did complete after click OK. The CSPMCLIENTD service is not available. There is no error log created either.

Resolution

To get some additional information as to why that windows machine denied the registration open a Command Prompt with Run as an administrator option and run the following command

regsvr32 cspmclientatl.dll



This should either manually register the DLL or give you more information as to why it did not load
