Overriding CICS SIT XPARMS at the user level

Issue/Introduction

Can the CICS SIT XPARMS like XFCT,XTRAN,XPPT XPCT...etc.. settings be overridden at the user level?

Environment

Release : 16.0

Component : CA Top Secret for z/OS

Resolution

None of those CICS SIT XPARM settings can be set or overridden at the user level.

They can be overridden at the FACILITY level by setting FACMATRX=YES and EXTSEC=YES with the  XPARM setting like XFCT,XTRAN,XPPT XPCT...etc that you wish to override.

Example TSSPARMS entry.

FAC(CICSPROD=FACMATRX=YES,EXTSEC=YES,XFCT=YES,XTRAN=YES,XPPT=YES,XPCT=NO

The advantages to controlling the XPARMS via FACILITY settings is changes are dynamic. Setting the XPARMS is the SIT requires and re-assembly of the SIT and recycle of the CICS region.
