Issue/Introduction

One of the Endevor Datasets, iprfx.iqual.STAGE2.OBJLIB is starting to increase in size. It was noticed that the current library is a PDS.  When allocating a new and larger OBJLIB dataset as a PDSE, it was created with the block size of the new larger dataset larger. After copying everything over, some of the Endevor batch jobs were failing when using objects in the library with the following:

NUMBER  41 OF THE CURRENT OBJECT MODULE HAS AN INVALID OBJECT IDENTIFIER

What is the best practice when resizing OBJLIB libraries?  Can they not be a PDSE?  Does the block size need to stay the same?

Environment

Release : 18.1

Component : CA Endevor Software Change Manager

Resolution

The PDSE needs to have the same attributes as the PDS that is being converted.
