Issue/Introduction

How to change the JES spool threshold values? 

In SYSVIEW activity screen, the spool% is getting red coloured on 80%, and that does not reflect the actual % for action on the spool%.

Wanting to change so 0% - 79% is green, 80% - 89% is yellow and 90% - 100% is red.

 

Environment

SYSVIEW 15.0 & 16.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

Resolution

The threshold value used is JESSTGP.

The JESSTGP variable should be changed to limit 90 and warning 80 in the MVSTHRESH member as: 

DEFINE JESSTGP  RSCE none     LIMIT 90       WARNING 80

With these settings, the yellow color appeared at 80% spool usage, and the red is at 90%.
