GCP SSO - Modern UX login pop up window comes post Inactivity timeout

Issue/Introduction

Clarity Modern UX Login page is displayed post inactivity timeout. Users have had an issue where they get directed to the Clarity login page instead of the IDP Login page to login. All users are using the SP initiated link .

 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE: 

1. Login to Clarity Modern UX using SSO in GCP SaaS System
2. Set the Inactivity time out to 60 minutes 
3. Leave the clarity idle for 60 minutes 

Expected Results: Once the system is idle for 60 minutes it should log out and send back to logout page 

Actual Results: Clarity Modern UX login page shows in the screen post inactivity of 60 minutes with API 

 

Environment

Release : 15.8.1

Component : CA PPM SAAS SECURITY INTEGRATION

Cause

• This is logged as a defect DE57954 and fixed in 15.9

Resolution

Workaround:

• The issue can be resolved by clearing browser data i.e. cookies and caches
• Change UI to classic UI 
• Use IDP initiated flow until the fix
• Use the long SP URL with a vanity link (Ex: https://login.broadcom.com/login/default /sso/saml2/0oa1hkrn5r0H9REsg1d8?fromURI=%2Fapp%2Fbroadcomincexternal_ppmssoca_1%2Fexk1gvd1tazLKR8pl1d8%2Fsso%2Fsaml%3FRelayState%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fcppmxxxx.ondemand.ca.com%252Fpm
• Extend Clarity Inactivity timeout until we resolve the issue (Like 360 minutes or set to zero to disable session timeout)
