APM 10.7 - How is the UDP port metrics measured

Issue/Introduction

How does the agent measure the traffic reported under UDP node? Is it the traffic monitored java agent handles or the total traffic for server UDP port(s)? The reason they are interested in this question, is the volume reported under agent UDP node they want to understand.

The only documentation about the UDP measurements  reads:

UDP (User Datagram Protocol)

• Output bandwidth (bytes per second)
• Input bandwidth (bytes per second)

Resolution

The UDP metrics, like all other metrics except the CPU utilization metrics,  refer to traffic through the monitored JVM only.
