Modern UX Status Report Effort Metrics not Populating on Projects

Issue/Introduction

The Effort Metrics on the Status Reports are not showing a Total Effort or Effort Balance amounts. These two fields are blank even after running the Investment Allocation job. 

Environment

Release : 15.8.1

Component : CA PPM SAAS PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Resolution

The Effort Metrics will not display these amounts if the 'EAC Sum for Labor Resources' attribute is set to be Secure with no group having Edit or View access to it.

For the values to show up, either of the following changes must be made: 

- the 'EAC Sum for Labor Resources' attribute set to be not secure

OR

- the View access be granted to the group(s) that needs to be able to view the Total Effort amounts on the Effort Metrics

This can be done in the New UX under Administration - Attributes. The field is the 'EAC Sum for Labor Resources' on the Project object.

 

Note: A similar issue will occur if the 'Actuals' attribute is set to be Secure with no group having Edit or View access to it. If this occurs, the Total Effort Spent and Effort Balance amounts will appear to be blank.
