Layer 7 Policy Manager JAVA UI Stopped Responding on Windows 10 Machines

Issue/Introduction

In some of our windows 10 machines the layer 7 java ui ( 9.4 rc03) stop responding meaning double clicking it doesn't do anything after applying a patch recently. 

We tried to re-install the policy manager but the issue persists.

Cause

Caused due to Windows Defender anti-virus settings. Windows Defender is an antivirus software that's included in Windows and can help protect your device from viruses and other malware and threats.

Resolution

1. Go to Windows defender security center

2. App & Browser Control

3. Exploit Protection

4. Program Setting

5. Remove all overrides from java/javaw
