Issue/Introduction

During an upgrade, received CA Datacom VSAM Transparency errors at IPL:

IEF759I VT21 SUBSYSTEM UNAVAILABLE, ABEND DURING INITIALIZATION            
DVC0005E  INSTALLATION FAILED FOR SUBSYSTEM VT21                          
CAS9140E - INIT ERROR: CADATACOMVSAM/T      VER BG14, INIT ROUTINE RC=0008 

 

 

Environment

Component : CA DATACOM VSAM TRANSPARENCY

 

Cause

This error is usually a configuration problem, where the modules needed for VSAM Transparency initialization are not found. The most common cause is that the LOADLIB parameter is not specifying the custom loadlib (CUSLIB) where the special initialization modules are placed.

 

Resolution

Review the CAS9 configuration for the CA Datacom VSAM Transparency product, and ensure that the LOADLIB parameter has the correct custom loadlib (CUSLIB) containing the specified special initialization modules.
