Issue/Introduction

Website xxx.yyy is incorrectly categorized on Cloud SWG(formly WSS) Site Review page

Cause

Websites are categorized based on content and risk rating and a few other parameters. This process is automated and discrepancies are rarely experienced. However, sometimes the IPs associated with a website become categorized incorrectly.

Resolution

• Verify the Website/URL in question with WebPulse Site Review Request
• The resulting page will tell current category the website belongs to. At the same time, this page gives you option to fill the form and suggest better category.
• Select filtering service as 'Symantec Web Security Service' and suggest two possible categories where you think the website fits.
• In the "Comments and Description" box enter your request for feedback on the categorization verdict (reasons for the current categorization).
  
  • Make sure to include your email and CC the email of any other individual that should be on the thread once the categorization team responds to your inquiry (typically within 24 hours).
• Select the "Submit for Review" button on the lower right of the form.
• The request will go to our GIN team and you will be notified via email of any feedback regarding your request submission.
