Issue/Introduction

The awinstall command is used to repair or make changes to your Applications Manager instance such as changing the database hostname/ip. Awinstall can also be used to check and compile invalid objects.

Environment

Component : APPLICATIONS MANAGER

Resolution

To check for and fix invalid objects, run awinstall and follow the on screen prompts. Once the Oracle password is entered, select the following options:

option 3 for Data Check...
option 2 for Check invalid objects
option 9 to Return to main menu
option 4 for Setup ...
option 5 for Recompile invalid objects

If invalid objects are found using option 2, option 5 will recompile those objects.
