SIM version 8.5.5711 crashes after update when a Proxy is setup

Issue/Introduction

In case where proxy server is used Symantec Installation Manager crashes during HTTPS connection:

UI Error:

Symantec Installation Manager has encountered a fatal exception and cannot continue.  Please see the log file for more information.

Environment

Release: SIM versions prior to 8.5.5712

Cause

Problem with proxy implementation.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed with SIM 8.5.5712 release and later.

Workaround:

* Close application

* Delete reg key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\AIM\Configuration\Users]

* Launch SIM

* Go to Settings > Product Listing > Change

* Add new product listing

* Browse and select [C:\Program Files\Altiris\Symantec Installation Manager\Installs\Altiris\symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip] > OK

* Product listing (tick box) switches to custom PL

* Restore Proxy settings

* Close SIM

* Change reg value to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\AIM\Configuration\ProductListings\1]Source=http://www.solutionsam.com/solutions/pl/symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip

* Change Reg key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris\AIM]InetCheckFile=http://www.solutionsam.com/solutions/pl/symantec_v2.pl.xml.zip

* Launch SIM
