Issue/Introduction

When upgrading the 32-bit SCM Agent on Linux to 13.0.4, every step completed successfully until the last one.  When we executed "./ApplyAgentPATCH.sh" the scirpt failed with the error message "CA_SCM_HOME is not defined".  But "echo $CA_SCM_HOME" proves that the environment variable is defined and set to the correct folder:

Environment

Release : 13.0.3

Component : CA Harvest Software Change Manager

Resolution

We were not able to find the root cause of the problem but found if we added the following 2 lines to ApplyAgentUPDATE.sh it resolved the problem:

export CA_SCM_HOME=/opt/CA/scm
umask 0022
