Issue/Introduction

Can we comment out the PermitRootLogin within /etc/ssh/sshd_config?

Environment

Release : 3.7

Component : IM Reporting / Admin / Configuration

Resolution

For normal functionality, this is setting is not necessary and can be omitted.  Root passwordless SSH is required only for installs and upgrades so if you disable this setting, the next time you upgrade you will need to enable it, upgrade, disable it.
