Regarding CDX8E00, which product is associated with this FMID?  It appears to be CA Easytrieve Plus release 6.4 for Common Services.

Is this an optional piece for CCS?

The FMID CDX8E00 is an FMID for the CA Easytrieve release 6.4 component, which was part of Common Services up until CCS 14.1.

Starting with CCS 14.1, the CA Easytrieve product is now a separate installation and is the installation for CA Easytrieve release 11.6.
It is correct that this FMID is when there is not a license for the full product of CA Easytrieve for releases of CCS prior to 14.1.

The latest release of CA Easytrieve is 'CA Easytrieve Report Generator - release 11.6' and this product does have the 3 FMIDs referenced:  CCL2B60, CA03B60, and CBAAB60.

And, yes, if there is a license for the full product, then the CDX8E00 FMID does not need to be installed.
