Issue/Introduction

Guys, we are trying to have the HTTPd service setup on a webserver(untrusted) to connect to the application server(semi-trusted). After the install and configuration as outlined in the 4.9 upgrade instructions, I am not able to get past the license activation pop up. I have installed the Portal on the untrusted server and ran TDOD and the license was successfully validated. I was also able to login to the portal from the untrusted local host. The untrusted and semi-trusted portals are pointed to the same GTREP database. 

This is a critical capability that allows us to switch our Live servers and needs to be addressed.

Cause

Upgrading from 4.6 to 4.9 results in a new micro service not being referenced in the config file.

Resolution

Extra Microservices need to be added http app proxy from 4.6 to 4.9. TDM Events Service to the WebService Daemon in the config file. Need to add 2 entries TDMEventService into the ProxyPassReverse settings.

Open up the Apache24/conf/httpd.conf file. 
Now duplicate a pair of entries such as:

ProxyPass /TestDataManager https:/<<ServerName>>/TestDataManager
ProxyPassReverse /TestDataManager https:/<<ServerName>>/TestDataManager

and change the new two lines to:

ProxyPass /TDMEventService https:/<<ServerName>>/TDMEventService
ProxyPassReverse /TDMEventService https:/<<ServerName>>/TDMEventService

Restart.

This is needed because the Telemetry Service has been added within the portal and thus the entries needed to be added in the httpd config file.
