Endpoint Protection Mobile

Issue/Introduction

Attention Customers of Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition (SEP SBE) and Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud (SEP Cloud)

These products will be discontinued on November 2, 2020. On this date, the product will stop protecting the endpoints, and access to the console no longer will be available. We recommend that customers migrate to Symantec Endpoint Security Enterprise.

Need instructions on how to install SES on a mobile device (Android or iPhone)

Resolution

To install SEP Mobile without an MDM integration via email invite

Sign-in to SEP Mobile

Navigate to Users & Devices > Users

Hit the cogwheel and select Add users . . . 

To Add a single user

Type in the First Name, Last Name, and User email

To Add multiple users

Paste the user information in comma delimited CSV format into the text box.

Eg: [email protected],John,Smith,+1-415-599-2671
[email protected],Adele,Smith

Ensure the Send welcome email box is checked and hit Add (for single users) or Save (for multiple users)

The users will be sent an email invite with instructions on how to install SEP Mobile.

Install SEP Mobile via the public app store

Add a self-enroll domain

Make sure it is approved

Once approved, users who install SEP Mobile from the public appstores (Google Play and the AppStore) and use an email with the self-enroll domain to activate the device will be automatically be enrolled into your SEP Mobile environment.

Use a 3rd Party MDM/EMM/UEM to Push or Pull Install SEP Mobile

Integrate SEP Mobile with your preferred MDM/EMM/UEM vendor

If you already have users and devices enrolled, they will need to be removed before integrating SEP Mobile, or you can setup a new SEP Mobile environment

Once the MDM integration is complete, users can install SEP Mobile from your companies MDM portal, or the configuration can automatically install SEP Mobile
