Environment

All supported Performance Management releases

Resolution

The tzdata package isn't a required package for Performance Management installations. Nothing in Performance Management should be affected by updating this package.

The chronyd package is utilized as our required time management package.

Being a TZ related tool, if it's upgraded ensure the host remains configured with the required TZ, the same one set before updating the package.

Vertica, the DB running on the Data Repository server, does recommend keeping the latest tzdata package installed.

Additional Information

The list of required packages for Performance Management can be found here in the documentation.
