Issue/Introduction

installation.log shows below error messages:

<ERROR <timestamp> ActiveMQSubstitutionAction::error> Error occured while reading the file OasisConfig.properties
java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\Program Files\CA\PAM\server\c2o\.config\OasisConfig.properties (The system cannot find the path specified)

<ERROR <timestamp> MirrorDomain::error> Failed to copy the resource: D:\Program Files\CA\PAM\server\c2o\.c2orepository\.c2ocommonresources\lib\xerces\jars\serializer-2.7.2.jar - exception  D:\Program Files\CA\PAM\server\c2o\ext-lib\endorsed\serializer-2.7.2.jar (Access is denied)
java.io.FileNotFoundException: D:\Program Files\CA\PAM\server\c2o\ext-lib\endorsed\serializer-2.7.2.jar (Access is denied)

Environment

Release : 4.3.X and up

Component : Process Automation

Cause

1. Windows OS UAC(User Access Control) issue. 
2. The installer needs Administrator privileges.

Resolution

  • Set Windows "UAC(User Access Control)" setting to "Never Notify"
  • Open command prompt as "Run as Administrator"
  • If any previous installation folders exists, either rename that or point install to another location and try installation.
