Issue/Introduction

This article will provide information on migrating TDM assets from Existing Server to the New Server.

Environment

All supported TDM releases.

Resolution

Follow the below for migrating the assets from Existing TDM Server to the New TDM Server

1. Take backup of GTREP Repository

2. Take backup of Orient DB

3. Restore the repository backup to new DB server

4. Install the Portal, provide details of the new repository and UID/PWD. The Portal should be the same version (as what was backed up from) (It can be upgraded later, but cannot install older version/s. Best practice is to keep the same version initially).

5. Restore the Orient DB: If any self-service catalog are available.

 

For copying the projects from one Repository to other Repository, Datamaker can be used. 
Refer to documentation section "Copy Remote Repository" of the release you are running for more information.

 

Make sure, TDM and Repository versions should be same.
