When trying to install of DX OI v.20.2 in a new namespace on the same Openshift cluster as we run DX OI v.1.3.2,
The validation fails on DNS
Specify the wildcard DNS: node1.example.com
[router-host-validate] [ ERROR ] Wildcard is not allowed.
The host name of the node running the router is the same as we use for DX OI v.1.3.2.
There is no loadbalancer, nor any wildcard dns address.
/etc/hosts on all cluster nodes has been configured as per https://techdocs.broadcom.com/content/broadcom/techdocs/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/dx-platform-on-premise/20-2/installing/reference-information/Routes-Reference.html
The <defaultSubDomain> is the FQDN of the cluster node running the router pod.
Successfully used <defaultSubDomain> as Router Host in the installation of DX OI v1.3.2.
The <defaultSubDomain> is also what is typed when asked for the wildcard DNS.
Release : 20.2
