HTTP Status 500 error after implementing SSL - Database Configuration Problem

Issue/Introduction

We implemented SSL and no are seeing the below issue on one or more app servers:

  • When trying to log in Clarity, the page displays the below:

HTTP Status 500 ?

Message

Description: http.500

  • Error in app-ca.logs:

com.niku.union.config.ConfigurationException: The application failed to start because of a database configuration problem.

  • In beacon log:

SEVERE: Exception processing ErrorPage [errorCode=500, location=/app?action=union.internalServerError]

javax.servlet.ServletException: com.niku.union.config.ConfigurationException: The application failed to start because of a database configuration problem

  • NSA-ca.log:

WARN  2020-08-29 06:23:53,918 [localhost-startStop-1] niku.union (none:none:none:none) No tenantId available to get the tenant databaseId. Proceeding with the dbId=Niku

Cause

This issue can happen in a clustered environment if the files haven't been distributed to the server.

Environment

Release : All Supported Releases

Component : CA PPM INTEGRATIONS & INSTALLATIONS

Resolution

  1. Distribute the files to the server

        Steps below as referenced at Distribute Files to Servers in a Cluster

    • Log in to CSA/NSA
    • Open Distribution
    • Click Distribute All
      • This option distributes all updated files under the Classic Clarity home directory.
    • Select one or more servers, and click Distribute. 
  1. Import the certificate to the app server
