Issue/Introduction

The agent is non-responsive to autoping requests and AutoSys has placed the agent in Missing state.
Regular OS type jobs process without problem. However, SAP jobs are not processing and remain stuck in STARTING status.

Review of the as_server logs shows the following message repeats consistently about once every 20 seconds:
[08/28/2020 09:49:18]      CAUAJM_W_00068 Timed out waiting for acknowledgement at socket [72] after 20 seconds. Discarding socket... [***.***.***.***] qid:typ:ver:src[25333:000:02:AGENT host.domainname] msg#[619]

The agent sap_config.log ash the following error:
08/28/2020 09:33:51.048 CDT-0500 1 main.Thread-6.CybSAPConfigAnalyzer.requiresAFM[:379] - Warning: missing property <jco.client.client> in sap.properties. SAP client is now mandatory in the SAP Job Definition.

 

Environment

Release : 11.3.6

Component : CA Workload Automation System Agent

Resolution

As indicated in the error message, missing property <jco.client.client> in sap_instance.properties configuration file. 
Your .properties file name will be the 3 character SAP identifier instance name (Ex. pr1.properties)

Make sure that the jco.client.client is not commented out!
If it is, edit the file and remove the comment.
