Configuring an ADS Account Template Across Multiple Domains

Issue/Introduction

If you manage multiple domains and need to configure a single ADS Account Template to create accounts in a different domain, you can set the target domain directly within the template settings.

 

Environment

Identity Manager

14.x, 15.x

Resolution

To create users or accounts in a different domain using your ADS Account Template:

1. Open and select your target Account Template.

2. Navigate to the Account tab.

3. In the User logon name field, append your target domain name using the correct syntax (for example: [e-mail]).

4. Click Apply to save your changes.

5. Provision your users using this updated Account Template to create their accounts in the specified domain.
