How to verify if your CASAM master catalog is up to date

The Catalog version is stored in the Data Source description for the Data Source "ASP"

To read the version - From the top menu select Admin - >data sources

The additional information column is not visible by default, you can enable it by pressing the Table setup

Get the current Master Catalog version

The Versioning in the Master Catalog is not kept in file name so you will have to download the newest catalog from the CA-Support home page and read it in the files.

To start with locate the Master Catalog on the Support page here:

Select the appropriate Catalog for your installation (Here we have selected the FULL catalog with support from 3_4_6 and forward) :

Open the ZIP file and locate the file: data_sources_update.csv with a Text editor of your choice, In this case have we used Notepad++:

Here can you see the Master Catalog available to download is version 2.9.5, while the version installed from the above screen shot of the CA SAM UI is version 2.8.2 . IN this case, the update to the catalog is needed. If the Additional Information matches then you are up to date.. if not you need to update the catalog.
