Issue/Introduction

Objective is to leverage GLUU Server functioning for SSO (Single Sign-On) with CA Service Desk Manager

Is it possible for SDM to receive a request from a NGINX reverse proxy that contains the name of the already authenticated user to allow login?

Environment

Release : 17.1 and higher

Component : SERVICE DESK MANAGER

Resolution

The NGINX Reverse Proxy method for authentication to Service Desk is not one of the use cases that has been tested.

While SDM might work with a reverse proxy, this is not a tested use case.

Additional Information

The following links describe how to set up a reverse proxy that should ideally work with any site to attempt reverse proxy application. However, these have not been tested specifically for use with Service Desk..
