Issue/Introduction

What would normally take about 30 seconds to Subscribe with a filter, now takes four or five hours or longer.


Environment

Release : 12.x

Component : CA WORKLOAD AUTOMATION DE (DSERIES)

Resolution

Run the following SQL query:
select count(*) from esp_wss_appl;

If this table has a large number of records, you probably either are not running PURGECOMPLETEDJOBS as part of your HOUSEKEEPING application or your retention period is too large. 

You can execute the PURGECOMPLETEDJOBS command with or without a retention period.
If you choose to run PURGECOMPLETEDJOBS without any retention period, all jobs that have been COMPLETED are deleted from ESP_WSS_APPL table.
Thus, lowering record count and improving performance.
Note: Active jobs are not effected by this command.
