Following error is displayed on PAM GUI. What does it mean?
Error: PAM-UI-2108: Failed to encode session recording: communication failure
This can occur when there is a problem with your Session Recording Mounts.
You access your target server using SSH applet for example and it kicks off session recording.
In the middle of SSH session the Primary Session Recording Mount becomes unavailable for 10 minutes.
In this case PAM will unmount the Primary Session Recording Mount and failover to the Secondary Session Recording Mount for new session recordings.
You close the SSH session but the existing sessions that started off from the Primary mount cannot finalize the recording.
These unfinalized session recordings will remain in "Encoding Error" state until they can be processed after the Primary mount becomes available.
If you click on "Encoding Error" link, it will change to "Error: Request Failed" as the Primary mount is yet to be available.
As a result, you will be seeing the error "PAM-UI-2108: Failed to encode session recording: communication failure".
The error "communication failure" is to the Primary Session Recording Mount.
If the Primary Session Recording is recovered (you may have mounted it manually) then the encoding will resume and they will get processed.
Release : 3.4.x

Ensure the Session Recording Mounts are online and shows "Mounted" and "available".
