Issuing the OVERCMDS command under SYSVIEW, there are the Overview, Format, and Type columns.
Where are these three fields defined for each command?
Also, is it recommended that the Type be INTERVAL for any of the commands? It appears that almost every command has REALTIME as the Type.
The OVERVIEW, FORMAT, and TYPE fields are user defined on the OVERCMDS screen directly.
The values set are retained permanently until the next time someone at the site changes them.
Broadcom does not make any recommendation regarding whether the commands should be REALTIME or INTERVAL,
leaving it up to each site to decide the values that best fit their needs.
The Overview, Format and Type fields, which get defined on the OVERCMDS screen itself , retain those values you set permanently or until the next time someone at your site changes them.
Also, we do not provide any recommendation as to whether the commands should have REALTIME or INTERVAL, instead leaving that up to our customers to decide which values fit their needs best.
