Java probes failed to start

Issue/Introduction

The java probes automated_deployment_engine, discovery_agent, cisco_ucs, vmware, ppm, prediction_engine, baseline_engine fail to start.

Environment

Release : 20.x or later

 

Cause

Corrupted java 

Resolution

The logs indicated error messages like "unable to find java - "The system cannot find the file specified."  so java related probes including alarm_enrichment / nas etc were not starting up

Redeployed java_jre to UIM robot from archive and restarted the Nimsoft robot watcher service after which all the java probes were up and running including the alarm related probes 

If necessary on the robot set the following environment variables to controller configuration:

NIM_JAVA_HOME = jre/jre8u102
NIM_JAVA_HOME_1_8 = jre/jre8u102
